These set of programs simulate different surgical techniques to correct the corneal astigmatism, such as Arcuate Keratotomy and Limbal Relaxing Incisions
The programs create a corneal model based on the interpolation of the patients’ data (age, corneal curvatures, central pachymetries, curvature of the posterior corneal surface and intraocular pressure).
This model is based on an Ogden hyperelastic material and the geometry is performed with toric curvatures with maximum and minimum powers on the anterior corneal surface.
Once the corneal model is established, the corneal incisions are applied and the correction values for the initial maximum and minimum curvatures are obtained
Surgical technique for average astigmatism using the Keratotomy Hanna or femtosecond laser.
Surgical technique for average astigmatism using a straight blade or femtosecond laser.
Surgical technique for mild astigmatism using a straight blade, specially used in cataract surgeries or others.
Surgical technique for severe astigmatism using the Keratotomy Hanna or femtosecond laser.
